Slash Film recently interviewed Kevin Feige on the heels of Ant-Man and the Wasp coming out this weekend. Feige was asked about some of the de-aging technology that is used in the film on Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas. In his response he revealed that both Samuel L Jackson and Clark Gregg will be de-aged 25 years for the WHOLE movie and not just selected scenes. This technology was first used on Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in Captain America: Civil War and was used for even longer scenes in Ant-Man and the Wasp. But the idea of using it on two characters for an entire movie is quite a leap for the technology in the MCU. This also confirms that the entire movie will most likely be set in the 90s.
John Rocha and Jeff Sneider sit down to comment on this piece news and if they like the idea of two characters being de-aged for a whole movie. They speculate if maybe casting two younger actors to play those respective parts in the 90s was the better way to go. They also speculate on if it will take away anything from the film as it might distract the audience.
